The small village is located in the northeast corner of The Forks Plantation and at East Moxie Township.. At the north end of Moxie Pond, it is the northern access point for the Pond and for the seasonal cottages along the Pond on the Troutdale (private) Road. The road is available on the “Pass at Your Own Risk” basis.
The Village is about five miles east of U.S. Route 201 on the Lake Moxie Road. In addition to a boat launch on Moxie Pond, it has several interesting structures. A modest hydroelectric dam, an imposing “Lake Moxie” building, and a small collection of houses.
About four miles east of the Village on the Lake Moxie Road, a section of Maine Public Lands manages access to Moxie Falls in Moxie Gore.
