This township is just east of Silver Ridge Township in southern Aroostook County. Crisscrossed with dirt logging roads, its main thoroughfare is the 6000 Road from U.S. Route 2 in Silver Ridge Dixie Road in the east terminating on U.S. Route 2A in Glenwood.
Macwahoc Stream runs from Lower Macwahoc Lake in the northwest exiting at its southeast boundary with Upper Molunkus Township.
Access to the lake begins six miles south of Sherman’s Woodbridge Corner on U.S. Route 2 at the 6000 Road. Turn left on 07-00-0 Road to 08-11-0 Road. The lake offers a quiet experience for fishing and canoeing.
In August 2014, facing a relatively low water level, an attempt to canoe from the boat launch in the northeast of the lake through its outlet in the south to 6000 Road on Macwahoc Stream was unsuccessful due to the exposed rocks and shallow water.
