The Maine Principals Association supervises interscholastic sports. Most sports divide schools into “classes”: A, B, C, and D depending on their size.
In preliminary competition, most sports are divided into “Eastern” and “Western” divisions. The state champions in these cases are the winning division teams in the final East-West competition.
Sports links at left direct you to articles listing the state champions in each sport over the years.
