(1891-1946), a U.S. Representative, was born in Norway on June 7, 1891, attended the common and high schools and was graduated from Bates College in 1914.
He was principal of the high school at Canton 1914-1917, then was elected clerk of the supreme judicial court for Oxford County in 1918 and served from 1919 to 1931.
Partridge studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1924 and commenced practice in Norway the same year. He served as town clerk 1924-1931, was a member of the board of education of Norway 1926-1931, and served as chairman of the Oxford County Republican committee for six years.
Elected as a Republican to the Seventy-second Congress (March 4, 1931-March 3, 1933), Partridge was not a candidate for renomination in 1932 when he resumed the practice of law in Norway.
A member of the Maine Industrial Accident Commission, he died in Portland June 5, 1946, while on a business trip, with interment in Norway Pine Grove Cemetery, South Paris, Maine.
