(Lower) Enchanted is the lead to one of Maine’s highest waterfalls, at 2.5 miles north from The Forks on Route US 201 where you turn left and follow the Lower Enchanted Road. The Road has mile markers and other features for guidance. The road is narrow in places and driving needs caution. After several miles two towering trees emerge on the right an, indication you are on the proper trail. Upper Enchanted may be

Shortly thereafter a parking space emerges on the left. Follow a hiking trail from there. You will notice set of buildings after a short hike. The buildings were closed during the pandemic. Turn right and follow a walking trail that will take you to the base of the waterfall. Follow the sound to the base where you can climb upward close to the top. Getting down may be difficult. Have a buddy for your guide! Get an early start!

Upper Enchanted may be accessed beginning at about 4 miles on the lower Enchanted following a dirt road branching from the lower enchanted road, the upper .upper enchanted road but may not be identified as such. This leads to Upper Enchanted Road which has  not been explored by this driver.

Parlin Pond,  about 15 miles north on Route US 201 offers an entry to Hardscrabble and better spencer roads to upper Enchanted.
