The township lies just north of Lily Bay State Park and Campground in Beaver Cove on the shore of Moosehead Lake’s Lily Bay. Lily Bay Road, the only improved road, runs inland and northwest to Kokadjo Village and First Roach Pond, both of which are in Frenchtown Township. The northern part of the township is a web of logging roads. With virtually no mountains, Hardwood Hill in the northwest claims 1,576 feet, the highest elevation.
The small village of Lily Bay rests on the shore of Moosehead Lake and the bay for which it is named. A few modest houses may be seen along the Bay Road.
At the village, the Lily Bay Road leaves the shore and moves northeast through the township to Frenchtown Township and the small village of Kokadjo, both on the shore of First Roach Pond. Before entering the wooded trip to Kokadjo, the image below reminds one of the varied nature of the township.
